Sweet Highs at Ban Ya Kaad #
After a long ride to Ban Chiang, I was craving something sweet to cool off. As I approached the Ban Chiang National Museum, a quaint little café caught my eye on the other side of the road. I decided to take a break and see what it had to offer.
The cafĂ©, Ban Ya Kaad, had a natural and relaxed atmosphere that made me feel comfortable right away. While I waited for my drink, I looked around and noticed the cafĂ© was filled with hipsters posing for Instagram-worthy photos of their artistic beverages. I couldn’t help but snap a few photos myself!
What I ate #
When I asked the owner for her favourite drink, she recommended the Oreo smoothie, which did not disappoint. The smoothie was rich and creamy, packed with the chocolatey goodness I was craving. While I sipped on my drink, I also spotted a delicious-looking coconut sponge cake on the counter, and couldn’t resist trying a slice. The cake was moist and fluffy, with a subtle coconut flavour that complemented the sweet richness of the smoothie perfectly.
What I liked #
What I loved most about Ban Ya Kaad, however, was the creative and unique drinks and desserts on offer. In addition to the Oreo smoothie and coconut cake, the menu featured a lavender latte with edible flower petals, a tangy passion fruit lemonade, and a decadent chocolate hazelnut cake. Even though I was only there for a brief visit, I knew I had to come back and try more.
If you’re ever in Ban Chiang and looking for a sweet escape, Ban Ya Kaad is a must-visit. The charming decor, hipster vibes, and delicious treats will make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem in this old town. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
